Ladybird s.r.l. (details in the WeUni Terms & Conditions), as Data Controller, will process personal data collected through this form for the following purposes:
- share the data with the Universities You have selected;
- further guide You in finding the University that best fits your need, also via extra Services (e.g. Newsletter), both purposes on the basis of the need to execute the Terms & Conditions (art. 6 § 1 lett. b EU Reg. 2016/679 - GDPR).
The data will also be made available or transmitted to IT service providers to the extent strictly necessary to operate the Service.
Some of these IT services are provided by companies based outside the European Economic Area (e.g. USA). In this case, the transfer is carried out on the basis of standard contractual clauses and additional measures to ensure data protection. In any event, we ensure that data transfers are only made to countries that guarantee an adequate level of protection, for which there is an adequacy decision by the European Commission, or on the basis of one of the other guarantees provided for in Chapter V of the GDPR. Further information on transfers of personal data outside the European Economic Area is available by writing to the Data Controller.
The data you provide are necessary for the performance of the agreement, but you are of course not obliged to use the Service.
The data provided will be retained for the time strictly necessary to perform the Service, and in any case no longer than 1 year after collection; in relation to the Newsletter, data will be retained until you object to the processing.
Lastly, you have the right to:
- access the data in our possession, and to request a copy of it (except, in the latter case, where the exercise of the right infringes the rights and freedoms of other natural persons);
- request the rectification of any incomplete or inaccurate personal data;
- request the deletion of the data;
- request the restriction of processing, subject to the exclusions set out in Art. 18 § 2 Reg. EU 2016/679;
- request the data portability (i.e. receive them in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format, in order to be able to transmit them to another Data Controller without hindrance) where technically possible and except where the exercise of the right would infringe the rights and freedoms of other natural persons;
- lodge a complaint with the Garante per la Protezione dei Dati Personali (in Italy, www.garanteprivacy.it) or with the Data Protection Authority of the EU State where he or she habitually resides or works, or of the place where the alleged violation occurred.
To exercise your rights or for any other matter concerning the processing of personal data, you may write, without formalities, to the e-mail address dpo@weuni.com
